My first attempt at stacked-leather handle

[Variant 13]

Hi this is my first attempt at a leather stacked hand on a knife.

I used a number of veg tanned offcuts some of which had been dyed in various browns and a few in red. Glued together with Devcon-2 tonne epoxy.

The ferrul and bolster are from japanese white oak which came from an old battered training tanto.

The blade is a Remington stick tang marked RH50.

Any critiques are welcome.

Thanks for the kind words guys, much appreciated.

The sheath will come from the leather that it's sat on for the photo's. There should be a matching fire steel tomorrow.

Do leather handles feel softer to hold?

This feels quite soft but then I have put a waxed finish rather than a lacquer on it.
