Yello!

Right, so I may have been able to recruit my brother and a friend to come, but its not definite, so I'll keep people posted.

I was also wondering a) how would I make my way from Manchester to Middlewood without a car and b) Is anyone going that might be able to offer me a lift at all? No pressure, but it would make things a damn sight easier.

Just wondering,

Thanks

p.s. I could make bannock if people want that? With added mead?

There's 2 ways to travel from Piccadilly to Middlewood by bus, one will take you direct to a point about half a mile from the site, the other has a change at the Trafford centre but will drop you off at the end of the lane.

Use this travel planner and this postcode M28 2LJ and the location choice 'Worsley Hall Garden Centre'.

You can also get the train to Walkden and then it's about 2 miles to the site.

As usual Bilmo, your suggestions are perfect! Thanks!

Ruddy hell!

I thought this was the Middlewood near Lancaster! I went there a good few years back with my dad. It's good to know this Middlewood is significantly closer and easier to get to. Can't wait! Bought my hammock and everything!

I am bringing some 550 paracord bracelets to the camp for sale, they are all around 9 inch long. The prices are marked on them brought to the camp. PM me if you wish me to save you one, will take orders before the camp if you have something you want.

Hi

Im new to the forum and am very interested this weekend but at risk of appearing thick, what basics would i need?

Most of my camping is 4x4 based, i'm used to sleeping under a tarp but usually take a camp bed, and cooking on an open fire but in my dutch oven etc, this camp seems to be more 'bushcraft' camping (which is what i'm after) rather than 'overland' and i don't want to turn up with miles too much kit or far too little.

i'm not after a full list just an idea on bed and cooking kit.

Many thanks in advance guys
Dave
