Heh, ok well thats pretty kewl, i'll have to grab myself a soft case for my guitar, my hardcase weighs a ton! :D
any suggestions for songs? also anyone play the irish flute/pennywhistle?

Snozz, i've never seen a hurdy gurdy played, i'd love to see it, and WB i agree if we're not wanted too much round the main campfire i'm happy to wander off with whomever is musically inclined but respecting those who wish to sleep i suggest we keep it to an 11pm curfew?

Will stick the Gurdy in the van (as long as it's not used for firewood!)

Can certainly have a play etc during the day even if not at night.

I think we should have a pumpkin carving competition this year.

Hi
I have a question concerning this restriction on open fires - raised & contained etc.
Are there designated raised pits for use?
If not what are the recommendations - I've got an old battered galvanised B&Q incinerator, which i have previously cut down, however its messy and cumbersome. Do any of you bushcraft geniuses have any niffty suggestions?
I'm wondering whether to get hold of an old fire bucket, in which i could drill out some vent holes and then perhaps grind out a door to pass in the fuel. i could mount it on some bricks maybe to protect the ground?

Hope people are storing up the spooky stories for fireside telling seeing as it'll be almost Halloween... (although I may just read the 'Fear of the Dark' thread again!
