Knife Makers Stamps please help

I'm in the process of making a few knives and would like to put my own Makers Mark / stamp on them. I'm a lover of Husky's and Wolf's so I thought of a paw print but i think it looks too much like another knife makers stamp or what about a howling wolf?
other options was DP with the P overlapping the D (If that makes sense)

Any ideas as to where I can get a stamp made?

Also how can I do this, do I buy a stamp and do it myself or do i have to send it away?

The guys in that link are very reasonable and your design should be less expensive to make too.

what sort of price do you think i would be looking at for a simple paw print design?
also are they the stamps that you just punch with a hammer?

Yeah, they are hammer punched stamps. I honestly have no idea on the price.

Another place you could try is M.Shaw engravers in Sheffield.I made enquirys with them a while ago for a stamp but i never got around to it!I think they wanted camera ready artwork of the design, price is dependent on how complex the design is.http://www.mshaw.co.uk/

you could use acid etching instead of stampping, then you just need to find someone with a plotter to cut the vinyl
