Has to be Joni surely?

They took all the trees, and put 'em in a tree museum
And they charged the people a dollar and a half just to see them
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot

Hey farmer, farmer put away the DDT now
Give me spots on my apples,
But leave me the birds and the bees
Please
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot

Yes, great one! I even heard a variation of the core theme played during Obama's inauguration. I Think this base melody was an old Quaker song?

You are all right. Each for your own reason. But I have to cast my vote for "Songs From The Woods" --Jethro Tull. The cover art of Ian Anderson in period clothes with a boiling billy over a fire burned to coals, with a shotgun and brace of pheasant laying nearby captures a spirt that makes me want to go outside everytime I see it. The music rocks also. It is one of the 4 CD's I never go anywhere without.

Thank you Mr Haller. The artwork added to the music of the title cut "Songs From the Woods" makes an already enchanting song to listen to a great song to watch. I will recommend this youtube site to my ever expanding group of eclectic friends. Thanks again.

Roll With It, by Oasis

You gotta roll with it
You gotta take your time
You gotta say what you say
Don't let anybody get in your way
'Cause it's all too much for me to take

Don't ever stand aside
Don't ever be denied
You wanna be who you'd be
If you're coming with me

I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside
I think I'm gonna take me away and hide
I'm thinking of things that I just can't abide

I know the roads down which your life will drive
I find the key that lets you slip inside
Kiss the girl, she's not behind the door
But you know I think I recognize your face
But I've never seen you before

You gotta roll with it
You gotta take your time
You gotta say what you say
Don't let anybody get in your way
'Cause it's all too much for me to take

I know the roads down which your life will drive
I find the key that lets you slip inside
Kiss the girl, she's not behind the door
But you know I think I recognize your face
But I've never seen you before

You gotta roll with it
You gotta take your time
You gotta say what you say
Don't let anybody get in your way
'Cause it's all too much for me to take

Don't ever stand aside
Don't ever be denied
You wanna be who you'd be
If you're coming with me

I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside
I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside
I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside
I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside
I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside
I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside
I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside
I think I've got a feeling I've lost inside

Only because fire, shelter, food take time and the voice that calls us all to bushcraft is in many lost inside.....................:D

Shambala - Three Dog Night

www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZrG1i_z2Kc&feature=related

Shambala

Wash away my troubles, wash away my pain
With the rain in Shambala
Wash away my sorrow, wash away my shame
With the rain in Shambala

Ah, ooh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Everyone is helpful, everyone is kind
On the road to Shambala
Everyone is lucky, everyone is so kind
On the road to Shambala

How does your light shine, in the halls of Shambala

I can tell my sister by the flowers in her eyes
On the road to Shambala
I can tell my brother by the flowers in his eyes
On the road to Shambala

How does your light shine, in the halls of Shambala

Not necessarily bushy, but my lad really rips the p1ss out of me for liking Randy Crawford, Roger Whittaker, Seth Lakeman, the Eagles, and Burt Bacharach amongst others.
I always remember waiting for a ferry from northern Germany to Denmark (Copenhagen) with a colleague when I was driving the artic tankers. He was a German chap and a bit of a billigerent, stickly so and so.... an old trucker..........or miserable sod as you like. Anyway he was listening to Roger Whittaker and I said how much I liked that music, and all of sudden we were best mates. It was a bit of the old trucker don't like young upstart type of thing.........anyway after we shared a few songs from Roger........all was well.
My all time favourite for lyrics though is Boston's 'Peace of mind'

Now if you're feeling kind of low about the dues you've been paying
Futures coming much too slow
And you want to run but somehow you just keep on staying
Can't decide on which way to go
Yeah, yeah, yeah

I understand about indecision
But I don't care if I get behind
People living in competition
All I want is to have my peace of mind.

Now you're climbing to the top of the company ladder
Hope it doesn't take too long
Can't you you see there'll come a day when it won't matter
Come a day when you'll be gone

I understand about indecision
But I don't care if I get behind
People living in competition
All I want is to have my peace of mind.

Take a look ahead, take a look ahead, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...

Now everybodys got advice they just keep on giving
Doesn't mean too much to me
Lots of people out to make-believe they're living
Can't decide who they should be.

I understand about indecision
But I dont care if I get behind
People living in competition
All I wan't is to have my peace of mind.

Take a look ahead, take a look ahead. look ahead.
