A few years ago when I was 76, I managed to injure my legs in a fall. Quadricep Tendons both snapped and learning to walk again was a long process and a later part of recovery was aided by me having the bright idea of buying an electric Bike. I already had a pedal Mountain Bike but I was a bit concerned that I would pedal off somewhere and my legs would konk out and I'd stranded, but an E power bike would allow me to self rescue.
Sparky..so named by my Granddaughter, has carried me quite a few miles since, and this morning the blue skies and warm sunshine lured us out for a few local miles.
Sparky in the Lane behind home. Brew kit on the rear carrier..

Warm sunshine, about 13 C but a chill breeze at times..
The wild Daffodils all seem to cluster around the power poles along this road, I think they are hiding from the extremely unlikely event of a Council Mowing Machine making an early appearance.
Taking the back lane to the cliff tops. I usually cut through the woods when on foot, but Sparky is a heavy lump on slippery ground and I want the road pedalling exercise anyway.

The stiff breeze still has a lingering bite of winter, but the sun tempers it and I know a place for a brew later..

There's a swell still running from a recent Gale

Today the sound of seas breaking against the foot of the cliffs is quite muted. If the wind is in the right direction on a stormy night I can hear the seas thunder from home.

Brew time. Using the Fire Maple quick boil today, the whole brew kit goes nicely into that Respirator Bag and fits Sparky's rear carrier securely.
I'll take the major road home..Easy to tell Spring is here, bloody traffic! That's the second car I've seen this morning....

Back down the lane to home. Just a few miles but the sunshine was nice and I needed a break from painting and varnishing the spars on my little Boat.
