If you purchase the Uni-com headlamp from Argos make sure the packaging is sealed, some bright thieves have been working a switch and returning an almost identical Electrek lamp from Poundland for a refund.

Really, if you buy 10 and return the pound land ones you've made nearly £65, worth it.

Those 7 led headlamps are pretty naff by modern standards. I do have one and it has the least light output of all the headlamps I have. Those LEDs are outdated now.
If you want something decent for not much more I think I paid around £3.50 for a Chinese knock off of the lenser head torch on eBay.
It has a Cree led which is crazy bright. The downside was the brightness adjustment on mine broke almost immediately as its a really naff battery pack on it and it will also drain batteries even when off so you need to always remove them when it's not in use.
Those disadvantages considered though it has awesome performance for the money. If you were clever (not me) you could probably easily upgrade the battery pack part too and have an awesome light for under a tenner.
