According to a list I've compiled from Food For Free, there are some fungi which last all winter (Jan & Feb) -
- Oyster Mushroom
- Jew's Ear
- Velvet Shank
Most fungi die in the autumn (Sept - Nov), and especially, the first frosts of November kill them off. Some survive until December, and only a handful last all winter (Jan & Feb).
Then you get the early risers in Spring (Mar-May), and the vast majority come up in summer (Jun-Aug).
