OK. Few months have passed, and I have to admit, that not too much of the time I had for my projects. But I managed to finish some miscellaneous items:
Miniature kuksa. Too small for a cup of tea, but large enough for a shot of good scotch :D
Carved out of birch burl.

After several months of postponing this project, I managed to finish this mixed material sheath for my first pukko.

Not the perfect one, I have to admit, but it will be getting better with forthcoming project.

Bear in mind, that I had few "faulty" experiments (merbau wooden insert :-/ ), on the way to the final result. Luckily, I abandoned this "dead-end". Also the final result differs from the initial drawing, but this somehow always happens to me :D
Materials: brass pins, birch burl cow horn, moose antler, leather. In general same materials were used for pukko, and the sheath.

Because my wife has stolen my wooden-horn spork, that I presented above (she claims, it makes beautiful desk decoration in her office - I tell you: it is no good for opening the letters :D), I had to make another one. With some scrap merbau (present from friend of mine - Thanks Thrackan!), and peace of brass, I made this one. Sheath is also made of the scrap leather. I have to tell you, that merbau is not the nicest wood for carving. Hard, and robust, but it splits easily, and with one careless cut, you can ruin hours of work.

And final, a true project on the budget. Some time ago, I catch my wife, trying to throw away a pair of her winter shoes ("they were completely worn-off" she said).
See yourself, what she was about to waist:

In two evenings, I turned this "treasure" into a bag for my new Tatonka kettle. No more soot in my bag-pack!

Another few months has passed :D, during which I had a hell of the work at the office. Back then I had so few days in the woods, and so little time to work on my DIY projects.
Any way. Things got better in September, and I had some time to finish two of my WIP's.
Elderberry spoon. Boiled in the water for few hours to get rid of the toxic juices.

Another attempt on kuksa :-D. This time, much closer to where I wanted to get. This time it is capacious (easy 300ml) and easy to hold without spilling the hot liquid Quite plain design. No antler, nor special carvings. But works well! :D
