This is the book recommended to be by a friend, Bernard S Mason Woodcraft and Camping though I got mine for £8 all in from a US store through Amazon,the price seems to have risen since last month! but Having read it I would happily pay the higher prices for it, !!FANTASTIC BOOK ALERT!!

southey, that book sounds like it's something that a person would never tire of reading, not to mention keeping a guy busy for a very long time with projects. The prices have certainly gone up a lot. I was able to find one in Calgary for about double what you paid, all in, which is still cheap compared to what some copies are being sold for. I don't know if you would like the prices now though!!!
Check out the current prices!:yikes::yikes::yikes:

coming on really well there. not telling you how to suck eggs but when I make a mortice by hand I always take the bulk of it out with the drill and a decent size auger then clean it out and square it up with the chisel after, just thought I'd mention that now you've sweated beating it all out

Hi

this book is very good for country woodcraft it is by Drew Langsner and considerably cheaper than his Green Woodworking book but has most of the same info

http://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/S...er&bt.x=79&bt.y=18&sts=t&tn=country+woodcraft
Just windering if that book you mentioned would have the same info as this one:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-li...ie=UTF8&qid=1336729616&sr=8-18&condition=used

Same author, but much cheaper than $90ca

I wonder if there's a PDF/Kindle version of it?

Sweet look auger that Southey
