I'll play the vegan card on that mealAdd herbs and spices, some veg and you've got soup!
Other than that, Good advice from Broch
Sharp grit from horticulture places is good for this....bigger than sand, smaller than small shingleAssuming you've removed the bulk of the corpse, wash out with detergent, then put a load of small, sharp, pebbles in, wash again shaking and stirring the pebbles around (little bits of fur etc. get stuck to the inside), repeat. Now add bleach (diluted) and leave for an hour or more, then thoroughly wash and rinse again, then boil several lots of water through it.
It will now be as clean as it left the factory - as to whether your wife will ever drink from it again is another matter
Yes, it needs mechanical friction on the inside... Some bums produce the same odour that came out of my KellyMy wife’s father used to refer to his bum as his kelly which made your title intriguing!
I’m not someone who tastes mice. I must say I like @Tony idea best, another handful of mice for depth of flavour and a splash of dry sherry or vermouth. Will you ever truly trust it or drink from it without tasting mouse? (Even if it’s psychosomatic)
I have the image of happy mice trotting around, minding their business, until the tragic day they sample some of Dave's food, or wander across his clothing or bedding...and just keel over dead! Man, what do you treat your kit with that it kills mice on contact?!?You have me beat on this one. I've found many dead mice in and around my kit (in my food, my bed, clothes, etc), but so far none in my kettle!
