Popped over today. Gate screwed shut still. Wonder what that's all about?

Saw the muntjac. Fresh kill with plenty of meat. Kerrie wouldn't appreciate me boiling the head in the flat so had to leave it. Hopefully nature will clean it up shortly.

Noticed back end was crushed and broken bones poking through. Maybe got hit by car crossing road? Wouldn't explain stomachs cut and gut removed though?

Wasn't crushed when I saw it?
I was wondering if the noise of a firework display could have give it a heart attack as they are so skittish?
The nails just need turning now ;)

How did the pub night go?

Pub night went really well. I know David Wedge from the Peterborough deer watching meetup. You'd like him nice bloke. Been on advanced bushcraft course and likes spoon carving. He turned up.

Steve and Jo Paulger turned up. You met Steve on bushcraft day down the lakes.

Amy, new face turned up. Interested in bringing the out doors to her pupils at school. Very interested in it all.

We had a big show and tell of kit including animal skulls, plaster casts of prints, fungi, books, hand drill sets, bow drill sets.

The pub was really good too.

I took Jo and Steve to Thetford yesterday.

Steve got the hand drill working with three embers. We didn't quite make the bow drill as it got dark and we had to walk back.

How was your holiday Kev? Good to get away for a bit?

Hi Kev,

I'd like to come along if that's alright. Leigh's mentioned above we've met before, you walked me through getting a fire started using your steel striker.
