Bushmoot 2009 - THANK YOU!

Just back from the 'Moot, and want to say to all the Mods and contributors, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I loved it, kids loved it, even Mrs S is talking about staying the course at the (hopefully) longer Bushmoot '10. Highlights: making whistles, butchery, naughty corner (obviously), chilling in the woods, watching Dave Budd make cool stuff, kids making sandcastles, wild food, whole family piled up together in a tipi at night. Loved it.

I'd like to second Tobes' post. Big thanks to everyone that gave up their time so that others could have a great time and learn new skills. Something like the Bushmoot needs a lot of time and effort spent behind the scenes to make sure things work and that there's things to do for all ages, so I'd personally like to thank Tony, all the mods and all those that set up stands for our enjoyment and benefit.

Our first visit to the Bushmoot and it was fantastic. Truly inspiring people and atmosphere. My family and i would like to thank Neil for the knife skills, Tony for help with the fire, Dave Budd forging and sharpening my Wardell ( and help with some Laphraoig), John Fenna for his general raconteur skills and excellent sloe-gin ( and help with the Laphraoig) Steve and Ashleigh for making us welcome and all the kids who helped keep the atmosphere throughout!

By the way, if anyone knows who a 10yr old boy called Oscar belongs to, can you pm me, please? My kid would like to get a message to him.

Best 4 days ever, despite the rain. Thankyou Tony, Thankyou Shelley, and Thankyou ALL the others who helped make it so fantastic and held all the wonderful workshops that all 18 of us enjoyed.

I'd like to say a big thank you to every one who came to the moot, attended mine and chris's tarpology workshops, kept the quiet places on the site quiet and kept the noisy places very lively indeed. The bushmoot wouldn't be any good unless you lot went for it and you did big time. A massive thanks to tony the other mods and there families i love working with you guys its always a massive giggle. A special thanks has to go out to Scott's corner i think that has to be the most welcoming, hospitable, sociable, and caring fire i have ever sat around thank you very much for letting me share your company fire the Quaich and the tablet yummmm

My first time at the Moot,Let there be many more to follow as I will be at all, hopefully.Scots corner well what can I add,apart from they have the perfect bush community spirit.
It was also great to meet such great characters especially John Fenna who told great stories around my camp fire late into the night.
Too many names to mention but thank you all for making me so welcome and also for organising such a well balanced and enjoyable MOOT

Just wanted to say what a great time i had at the moot - it was just amazing.
It was fate that the first folk we met were those at the Scots corner who were so amazing and generous (with knowledge, drink, food and banter etc) and i dont think i spent much time not laughing, smiling or having banter.
There are so many individuals i would like to thank again but i know you know who you are and i hopefully managed to say it in person before the end of the moot.
I went with really high expectations and was still surprized at how much i enjoyed it.
To all the mods and organisers i thank you most humbly:notworthy :You_Rock_

I would like to say a big thanks to the guys at the naughty corner, Cap'n Badger, Mad Dave & Sargey for the great welcome to a Bushmoot newbie. I had a wicked time and haven't laughed so hard for a long time.
I also want to say cheers again to John Fenna who as always makes might little boy Josh feel very welcome, thanks mate! (Don't want to inflate his famousness anymore than needed though!! )
Lastly I would like to say thankyou to Tony and all the Mods for a great week, Cheers Guys!

We had a great time

Lots of visitors who brought the chat and the music Friends from other meet ups came by and we caught up, folks dropped in and joined the company bringing their own good cheer, food and fun

Thanks to Tony, Shelley, Lorraine and Sam who organised the set up, the mods , the shop, the hangi, the workshops...... I love working with you
Thanks too go the other mods and their families who made this one so welcome you're welcome round my fire anytime

jdlenton and listenclear made music that just enriched the whole event , just such a pleasure having you around.

Seeing the craftwork of so many people was fascinating. I didn't get to many workshops, but I did get to sit and watch John Kemp for a while stunning workmanship and great to listen to as well.

The kids were lovely to work with, a real credit to their parents and theirselves

I'm talked hoarse, and the 'radioactive' look has washed off

I have to say a huge thank you to the Scot's lads who kept the whole corner such a great place to live for those few days I really do think,
" we'll be back".......look now, you've got me doing it
