Ha.. I didn't realise you'd mentioned them, sorry to seem to steal your thunder, pun intended.. But they are rather special.

As much as I usually enjoy Sly and the Family Stone, the Meters, P-Funk, etc, I can't help but turn to bluegrass while in the woods. "Celtic Music" as we call it in the states, is nice, not sure if it's really an accurate term. Some Jethro Tull or Paul Simon is nice too.
But when I'm actually out backpacking, I go music-less.

I feel a bit odd, it seems I am the only person I know who doesn't listen to music at all, someone tell me I'm not alone?

At all? Or just not in the woods etc ?

I don't tend to listen to nowt but what nature is doing at the time.

This is, after all, a Bushcraft site so I am not surprised by the lack of enthusiasm in the OP. However, your choice in music means that I would not mind in the least listening to your CD around the campfire.

But, surely, the song of choice must be Come by Ah??

I found in my general taste in music when I was much younger to mainly be pop music. As I got a little older I got more into soft rock,
last couple of years I've been very much into hard rock.

I also listened to some heavy metal but decided I don't like grunting although I've been told it just takes getting used to like alcohol and coffee.
Now I'm listening lots of blues which feels like some sort of stripped hardrock to me, but with no less passion.

Just so much music out there that's good I don't think I'll ever have listened to everything I need too!:)
Bushcrafty music to me right now is just the song I have in my head when I'm out..
