OK just for fun , if you could invite 5 people living or dead to and evening in the woods around the fire who would you, and why would you, invite?
Me? well, in no particular order apart from no.1
1: My wife, Kate. with who's support and love allows me to do this bushcraft thing.
2: Christopher John McCandless, why did he go "into the wild"
3: John Muir, the Scot/Americam naturalist and early advocate of perserving the wilderness
4: Ray Mears, enough said
5: Winston Churchill. IMHO a great leader for the time

and as an indulgence any UK service man or woman injured in the current conflicts would be guest of honour.

So who would your's be ?

Ray Mears and Bear Grylls, just to see what happens. I would fill the other 3 with whoever bids the most tot see whats happens (and then I could afford the woodlore knives on offer by MartinK9) . Either that or the other 3 would be Billy Connely & Dylan Moran for the craic + my mate gerry cos he loves the craic.

Ray Mears - wouldn't be right not too
Andy McNabb - Kinda like the guy, whether he was right or wrong, I still find him interesting
Lars Fält - another wealth of information there
An Aboriginal from a long time ago - to really connect with someone who new how to live with the land
a Native American from a long time ago - to get a first hand view on bushcraft from when it was the only way of life

And if I can push the boat out - Gordon Ramsey to do the cooking
