Nah, i reckon thats expensive, theres a garage on the A65 just outside kirkby lonsdale were the logs are a fiver a bag and there kept inside, good logs. I'll get a few bags of them.

Theres a place in Bickerstaffe and there only £2.50 a bag, will try and get there on Friday.

Ah the ones in B&Q by me were in bigger bags than that for £28 I couldn't see them ones.

I never saw the bigger ones either They'll be okay for chucking in the stove though

If you've got any spare useful sawn timber offcuts would you swap for some nice natural dried spruce ? I'll cut it whatever length you like. I hate to see useful stuff getting burnt, and I'm planning to bring a stack in the pickup.

I have got lots of wood I think( don't know how much I'm gonna get through tho) any that I don't use or is looking like I'm not gonna use can be used by any1. Small perk ov working on a building site.

PS. Booths in Kirkby is a good place for bottled ales at good prices, if you can stand to rub shoulders with the Rover and Audi driving Kirkby Lonsdale clientele in their barbour jackets..

They're only small off cuts about 12 inch long of 3x2 that the joiner cuts off a stud wall but u r more than welcome to it if you want it. Are you after some timber? Can't get long lengths tho 6foot would be about the best I can fit in the car. We throw so much away its criminal.

Not to worry then. No particular need just now, just seen some nice long bits been burnt at other meets that would have been useful sooner or later.

Saturday morning

Sunday morning saw a different picture, the thermometer in the car read -8 c.
I spent the first hour of this morning spewing my guts up after being poisoned by one of Drews pork pies

Thanks for organising a fun weekend Gray, it was good to put more names to faces. The location was stunning and I got to test out my new hot tent setup.

The new stove worked a treat, no problems all weekend and I managed to tweak the dampers just about right ..

In the afternoon I went for a walk up the big hill behind camp to try and get a mobile signal, looking back to camp from halfway up ..
