Axe graving and haft Celtic design

File work is something I want to try too. Just not got round to it yet :)
I like that vine pattern you see on some knives and fancy trying it. But I'm never sure if the file work should remain open or be filled in with epoxy on the handle section. And how to so this. Its all learning I guess.
Either with or without epoxy would look great .I did a little file work on my other axe in my other thread further down the list this little beast will be up for grabs soon I think .gonna play with some wood today and see if I can grave some knife scales to somebody's liking .

Epoxy inlays would just fall out bud unless you spent copious amounts of hours rebating the graving to a depth that would sustain the epoxy .
Good idea though.
Depending on type of epoxy and surface finnish it'll work in knife handles but I fear the shock in an axe head would be too much.
