I quite gerber bit i just don't like the Big Guff trade marks. I am going to get that parang though, to have a play.

In the USA the Scouts are now strongly discouraged from carrying a fixed blade knife. Been that way for years I hear. Most use Sypderco or Benchmade now. When I was a lad we used the Official Scout fixed blade and hatchet. Times have changed.
BTW, for $45, even I can afford to bash around with that BG parang. If I don't like it much, it will end up in the back of the Land Rover for emergency brush clearing.
