Does anyone still use one of these? I don't use them as much as I would like to.
This one is solid brass grip with resin body and cap. The cap is great if you travel with the pen and also prove some protection to the nib when you are not using it.
This is my best yet.
Made the plastic for the body myself out of polyester resin.
The nib and feed came from a Dupont Classique that had a cracked thread and was leaking ink. So I build this pen around it.
Simple meth stove usually run out of fuel too early or contains too much fuel which will be wasted.
I made a small addition to solve that problem.
Works fine but the tube gets a bit hot.

Made for myself a few pens.
Stainless steel for the barrel and brass for the bolt.
The refill comes from Pilot G2 and Pilot G2 XS.
Took about 5 hours for each.
It's been a long time since I was last seen here :o
Found a lump of rusty looking metal that looks like stainless steel so I cleaned it up and ground it to shape. After a bit of shaping and welding.....

I have been wearing hats for a few years now. So the itch to make one finally came :o
There are flaws. For one, the hat don't fit! The cotton canvas shrank in the wash. So I am going to try again with a pre-shrunked canvas. Still in the process of shrinking.
Comments are welcomed...
Well it's a cross between a parang and a leuku :D
Made from a chainsaw guide bar, it's 6mm thick and the overall length is 22 inches.
It's a bit heavy at 1.54lbs.
I can't wait to chop something up :P

Plain brown waist pouch using 3mm vegetable tanned leather and hand stitched with hand twisted natural linen.
Thought I make a plain one and let the thread stands out.

When I am out for a walk or camping, I've always find myself holding onto things that I've picked up along the way or tools that I have used, soiled and will be using again later on. These would always be too dirty to put into my pocket or backpack. There are also time when I find myseld holding...
I never tried making one of those soft drink can stove because i feel that they are too flimsy and too large for my tiny (12cm) pot. I imagine the flame would shoot out the side and completely miss the pot!
Today I went to the bakery shop to pick up some gum tragacanth and found...
When I first started out with leather work, I was taught to thread the needles like this photo below.
It's the same method taught by Al Stohlman in his book "The ART of HAND SEWING Leather"
It was the only method I knew so it was the only method I used. It gave me endless grief! It...
A pouch for your keys :D
Made this one to try out the new hardware I've bought and also the two part rivets. Works really well. First time I am using steel hardware in my leather product. Given the choice, I would still prefer brass but they don't make these things in brass or at least, I...
Made this pouch for my own use. Wanted to carry some tobacco around in style and if you know me :D I wouldn't buy if I can make it :P
The pouch is part of a system that I have designed but it's the first item that I have made. Looks like the other parts will have to wait.

Went out today to the hardware shop to pick up 2 parangs. Wanted to prepare it for my father's use in the farm :D
Here they are, compared to a Frost Mora
