    Methods of coping with stress......

Heres a few Iv learnt over the years: 1. The importance of breath - even deep breathing can calm you down instantly. 2. Meditation, meditation, meditation - a wonderful skill, I highly recommend it to all. It not only relaxes the body, mind and spirit, but can help with some medical...

    I want to try leathworking

I want to move from working in cloth to working in leather. In cloth I can make tote bags, hand bags, satchels etc. Now I would like to try doing them in leather or suede. Iv ordered some books from the library and await their arrival. Do you have any tips for a complete novice?

I want to make a bag can you give advice?

Have you thought of making a proter- type out of another material? Then you could test it and get rid of any glitches before using your leather.

    Disgusting!

Im very glad these people have been caught and hopefully will get a decent jail sentence. I also hope they they all get a psychiatric assessment, as I believe, animal cruelty is the first steps on the road to psychotic problems. Unfortunately some saw the sweet toddlar who flushed the...

Any Jack Russell Owners or General Dog Question

I would ask myself some questions before getting a dog: Can I afford the food and vets bills, as well as all of the equipment needed? Do I have the time to walk, play with, and look after the dog? What sort of dog is best for my circumstances and not the other way round? How active am I...

    Making birch tar

Ray Mears did this one: He put the bark in an old coffee tin (with a small hole in the bottom) turned it upside down and put the open bit on to the open end of another smaller tin. Said tins were then half berried in a hole in the ground and the sides half filled in with sand (the birch one...

    Ticks

Id ask the vet for advice. I think (Im no expert) that most flea treatments cover ticks, well all the ones Iv used have. I think it really depends on what you want to spend, and how easy you want to get it. Some are only available with a prescription from the vets while others can be...

When I was in my late teens, some years ago, I applied for several places doing activities with children, such as canoeing, bushcraft etc. Pretty much they were all in line with you pay for the privelege. Not very good really for those who are keen on working in the field!

In my opinion, the number one thing to learn, which is often overlooked is to keep calm and control ones breathing, without this you just cant think straight.
