What did you forage today?

Had some meadowsweet tea. It was an odd flavour; tasted of honey, with a general vegetable undertone. Meant to be good for reducing inflammation and general pain relief.

Loads of it about:

That's good to know. I might head back down the marshes and grab a batch to dry out. I was thinking of mixing it with some lemon balm for the next brew.
Ah, marshes, that explains why you've still got something green around you.
I wondering the other day what on earth there was left to forage, especially of food value. Due to this heat wave around here it's mostly brown dry stuff.

I've already got several pounds of blackberries in the freezer, today I managed a carrier bag full of plums.
Jam, wine, crumble, plum flapjacks.. it's a busy time of year for foragers!

Blackberries here are tiny but sweet. Cob nuts are coming through but way way down on last year. Need to go up past the strawberry farm , spotted a vacated wild bee hive........ anyone got any advise on what i can or should / could harvest to do (the tree has rotted out, honey comb visible..) no bees :(
