You're in Namibia! :)

yesterday we had another crazy thunderstorm passing through and when i returned to the farm in the afternoon i encountered a mess of branches and vines on the path -- and a two-toed sloth in the middle.... .closer inspection revealed it to be unable to move due to a hind leg trapped under a 4" branch, requiring me to get to the house to fetch a saw; fortunately it was a straight forward rescue and the sloth unharmed despite a 10m fall and rough landing :-)

i was hauling about 25kg of supplies back from town and when i came down from the path i saw a river otter on the palm log in the middle of our moat (=the river); it was sitting there for about 20seconds before slowly getting in the water. a few seconds later i saw one of our dogs and her remaining puppy on the far side in the vegetation but i daresay the animals had no issue with each other's presence.... (sadly no pics as i'd no phone on me)

Not very wild, but the nicest and most friendly young bullocks down by the spring today. The ones in here last year were an unruly mob, but these guys just wanted ears and heads scratched, didn't bother the dog or me when we walked through, just tried to lick us both and wipe their noses on us :D

Earlier this week...... a newt and a load of Red Admiral butterflies (not at the same time, I saw the newt in the evening, butterfies during the day). There's been loads of the butterfiles for a few days, since the sun came out.
