Dartmoor October Meet ...

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
Thanks Ivan.

Sorry to disappoint on the Chef front, it is a Moot nickname with a back story, not an official qualification. I'd love to muck in with the communal food prep though. I can usually be found still cooking for the inebriated at 5am at the Moot Naughty Corner! :1244: I'll bring some useful bits and bobs.

Thanks Ivan.

I thought the service at the n/c was quite lacking I had to wait until 5 am just for warm bread with Camembert and spring onions , terrible

I don't know why you made such a fuss, you ate everything else proceeding and it wasn't as if you were going to go to bed. :D Oh, and did you buy spring onions, nooooo, I had to grow them from scratch!

Hi People, been up to the site today, took a few more pics, to whet the appetite, tried to get some shots of the lake, which we can canoe on, and a couple of the assault course! Also some of the woodland area for those wishing to hang.

Don't want to be boring, but i have looked into public liability insurance, and to be honest with you, it is not worth the paper it is written on! So provided i have not been deemed to have been negligent, it is down to you guys, to ensure your own safety (the site operators have said insurance) But as an example, i can't stop someone, deciding it would be great fun to have a go on the assaualt course, when i am asleep, or they are drunk etc, so hopefully common sense will prevail.

Anyway i am just off hang gliding blindfold, see you later.

Ivan...

Woohoo, midnight drunk assault course Olympics here we come! Lets throw in some archery too for good measure. In fact, we can have people standing on the sidelines shooting the bloke's on the assault course, awesome!

Liability insurance is not an issue. "The ground is soft and we have spades!" (Cap'n Badger) :goodnight:

Does this count for the pole on do you do bushcraft with your dog? How may puppies for a good sleeping bag liner?

Cheers,
Leif
