My experience with the post office sucks, but my Regular postie Dave is a good guy and knows the score when it comes to parcels etc.

But the post office it's self is a joke, I left it the 24 hours once to go collect a parcel and it got sent back to Warrington for some reason?? And Try buying a Game Fishing licence, seriously they have no idea what one is I said the ones at the back of the book and then got told that they where told not to sell them?? Farcical truly farcical.

As of 1st April 2012, Post Office has separated from Royal Mail Group and has become an Independent Company.

All of 2012, every parcel/letter piece of paper posted through my letter box has occured after 1400hrs by Royal Mail. I timed my leaving of the house because of this if I wanted to avoid the red letter of doom

Except this morning, they decided 0745 was a great time to deliver, I returned from the shops at 0800. Merry Fecking Xmas to you too Royal Fail

The reason you receive your mail after 2 PM is because the rounds are now much bigger, plus in case you hadn't noticed, it's Christmas.
We've been rushed of our feet for weeks now,but finally all the mail centres are clear, that's why your mail was early today, don't we deserve to spend today with our families and friends?

Nope, doesn't cut it I am afraid - A flyer posted beginning of Jan stated that deliveries were to be at a certain time between 1100 and 1400 daily for my area, fine, I adjusted and can live with that time, just don't change the time without notice.

Running the route early and not delivering parcels at Xmas is bad form.

And If RM was that busy I would of expected parcels to arrive later, not earlier.

Post Persons are employed for certain hours - just because it's Xmas eve makes no difference, stick to the contract you sent out to customers.

I worked Xmas day or New Years Eve for 22 years so no sympathy - jog on

What do you expect us to do if there's hardly any mail to deliver, hang on so you get it at your usual time?

Not a chance!

The contract sent out to customers was from the top brass, not the postmen and women!

If you feel that strongly about it then complain!

I have, and again here

Got the same response from the bloke behind the counter telling me I couldn't have the parcel as it states 24hrs - so that means Thurs.

Wasn't your twin was it?

So the postpersons broke a company contract? Thanks for the heads up.

I'll leave it there as I don't fancy a ban.

Nobody broke a company contract, what are you going on about?

As I said before, was your postman supposed to hang around until 2 PM just for you?

The reason you couldn't have the parcel is probably due to the fact that the postman hadn't finished his round when you went to collect,so it wasn't there to collect.

And less of the digs please!
