Buzzies were venturing out yesterday. Had to shut them up to burn sulphur in the greenhouse

Yes :D
I am scunnered sick of this long, dreich, Winter, and so glad that it nearly by :D

Watched a blue tit giving serious consideration and trying to peck wider one of the holes on the access panel on a lamp post yesterday  The birds are already paired up. The buds are swelling on bushes and trees, though the green's not showing 'just' yet. The air's definitely changing though :D and the extra light in the day is a pleasure.

Yup, and the bloody oyster catchers are doing their daily/nightly job of keeping me awake with their infernal racket, it's as well for them they're protected.

Excellent post, yep, I agree, we had some sun yesterday, it's good today (must just be over your house John :D) I'm looking forward to spring, had my arm in a sling for 5 weeks now after an op so with spring should be getting to use the arm again, I do hope that we have a drier year in 2013, but hey, it's nicer out now than it's been for ages to i'm celebrating that goodjob

Is it the effect of this thread?
It has stopped raining, the sun has come out and I just got some great photos of a Pheasant in the garden!
Sorry to hear about the arm Tony - which of the kids beat you up? :)

It was nice to wake up in the hammock to sunshine this morning.

Life was stirring under the leaf litter and the trees were full of birds in full song too, the midges will be out soon then :)
