That looks amazing! i have seen it recently in Von Ryans express great film, they end up being stuck on the rail bridge seen at the beginning of the vid. just as an asside do any of the gamers on here find that they get a slight feeling of vertigo while playing games that include high point with long views, i have no problem climbing, or standing on cliff edges but some of the grphics now give that slight tightening in my stomach.

This is the Camino del Rey, near Antequera. I walked along it myself as far as the first bit missing the concrete slab. Then I had a little rethink. It's a bit unkept, to say the least, and you never know if it's going to get better or worse. To even get to the trailhead you have to go through working train tunnels.

However, nearby is El Torcal, which is also breathtaking but not anywhere near as dangerous.

All of this sounds very interesting I'd love to give my self a scare along some trails like that
:yikes:as well as experiencing the awesome landscapes and exposure.
does any one know if there are any good guide books ?:D:cool::D

Someone above mentioned 'looks great. I think these things always look worse than they actually are'. No mate, IT IS as scary as it looks. I've also 'done' the Aonach Eagach Ridge (I'll raise you the CMD Arete and throw in Crib Goch in Winter for a laugh :-))

Aye, I've done the CMD Arete as well. Howling gale at the time, spent a fair bit of time on my hands and knees:eek:
Now I think about it,,it's been years since those escapades and I've actually developed a bit of vertigo over the years (anyone else 'developed' this as the years pass?)
You're right I would probably wet myself if I attempted something like that now.:yikes:

East Coaster
Brother, i know what you mean,
From Cerro Neggro, to Orgiva is a little track ( and i mean little) that takes you past some decent country views, but man the drops off the path are sh*t sc*ry, not to be done if you want a family,. pm if you want the details of who to contact in the area for route info.

Not quite vertigo but more scared of heights. I think it is because I cannot trust my body completely anymore.

The flesh is weak so the minds scared!

I would happily give that a go.

Some people climb stuff like that without the path, so its more the fact that the existing path may give way.

Amazing! Like The Lord of the Rings! Only ugly Uruk-kai missing!

Would not go there!! EVER!! People are nuts. Enjoyed watching, though :)

Think mines is more than just scared of heights. I can remember the first time it happened as well. It was several years ago when I was up the Wallace monument near Stirling and upon reaching the top and looking out I could feel my legs wobbling and almost giving way and a tight knot developing in my stomach, dizzy head etc. This, despite the fact I knew I was completely safe and secure. It's got worse since and even in shopping centres I'm not at all happy leaning over and looking down from higher floors. The thing is I've had a few hill walks where I've been quite exposed and it hasn't really bothered me too much,,,,weird:confused:
Can't remember his name but there's a French geezer who free climbs buildings all over the world ("the human spiderman"). It looks absolutely mind numbingly terrifying but he insists he suffers from vertigo,,,,,,,bizarre!!!

hi would love to have a crack at this
am a rigger by trade so balanceing about at dizzy heights is an every day trick
the falling is quite a buzz its just the landing that hurts

God, I keep watching the move again and again! Amazing! Pity I am afraid of heights and not crazy enough to try...
