Haven't actually done any proper woodcarwing in my life, unless you count carving out a living tree with a fungus rotting away the core
Some years ago I came upon a lump in a Rowan and thought that some day it could be something, this week it finally became that something.
This mornig I felt like trying it out with a spoon, it was -15C outside, so was not going to do anything useful in the yard anyway.
Wandered to my neighbours woodcompost (a huge pile of branches right on my border) and foud some Aspen to try it with. Now down to first round of rough sanding. Read the boys here saying I must get it wet a few times and sand a bit more.
But quite happy with the result so far, as it is the first go at this "sport"
