I attend socialisation classes twice a week. (gives me a chance to eat lots of cookies and nap.)

One of the regulars there is Lilly, a much experienced lady of about my Mothers age (if she was still alive)

And she said the recipe for a good life was to learn, create and go wild.

And I think thats just right.

Excuse my ignorance, but what are "socialisation classes ?
Sounds like something for criminals to come back and start a life again or something for dogs to behave. I have never heard about such a thing before.
Please explain some more.

cheers

Well provided Tengu and myself are talking about the same thing then socialisation classes are where you take your dog (most often puppy) to get him used to interacting with other dogs. If you don't do it then you can run the risk that your dog doesn't know how to play with other dogs and ends up fighting with them all the time... I guess it's also a bit ofa social meet for other dog owners too.... I guess you could call it kindergarden for dogs lol :D You can also do a little bit of obidience work with the dogs while you're there under the watchful eye of a Pro dog trainer.

Does that make more sence now Abbe? :)

Cheers,

Bam. :D

Thanks mate,
thats not a bad thing to do! We have such stuff here too but this goes into the base training for dogs, most hunters today join a dog club and learn how to handle the dog so there is a good feel all around when a lot of hunters with their dogs meet up.

No fun having endless dog fights while you wish sitting around the fire and relax a bit. :)

cheers
