What do you use for spoon templates

True. In that case being able to see through the template is advantageous because it allows you to include as many as possible

just a thought, but would the thin coloured plastic chopping /cutting boards be any good for knife handle liners?.

I suppose it depends what they're made of. I tried it once and the epoxy wouldn't stick to it.

so far i've never made two the same, i just wing it all the way

I'm the same. Every one i have made has been a one off. It;s the same with the spatula's that i have made everyone is different.

I'll be honest I'm not good at replicating even with a template and most end up slightly different from the original plan but I do like having something to aim at whilst roughing out.
Spoon bowls in particular always end up a mess if I haven't marked out beforehand.
