A new vacuum as the wheel fell off the old one. Can't complain as it was over 20 years old and had done us sterling service
I've only ever eaten chicken eggs. I really want to try duck eggs, though. How do they compare to chicken eggs?
Duck eggs are richer and thicker consistency.... normal chicken eggs are like water in comparison.
Used to have amazing ducks, until a fox got in and killed them....
I've not tried duck eggs. But goose eggs are great. Much bigger, obviously, than a chicken egg, but the yolks are proportionally much bigger too. So you end up with a huge yolk. Higher cholesterol and very nutritious.

They can be a bit cantankerous, can't they. Was actually considering getting some for that reason.
Yes - basically they never got the memo that they are no longer Dinosaurs.
Certainly made life interesting and made you keep your eyes on a swivel - like a sort of avian Kato.
Saturday afternoon, I found a small kilner butter churn on the shelf of my local charity shop. Made butter with it today.

Phew! Hard work! but very satisfying as I now also have half a jug of buttermilk in the fridge, ready to bake a soda bread tomorrow.

I have a friend with a cockerel that draws blood from my shins with his claws every time I visit - vicious little beast!

Bae systems were a bit expensive , so I've got a couple of part used ones.
Igor.. the shop keeper was very helpful and even gave me a few bolts to keep my head on straight for free. Nice chap.
Yes - their bite is no worse than a gentle pinch.
I let a swan savage me - it's bite could not break the skin, but he almost gave me a blood blister ! Still telling the rowers that they can break your neck though - it makes them row faster.
