Yes, I'd imagine they are both late 80's. The ks100e material came out in79' and SA adjustable back system in 83.

I've been trying to find a timeline on the different styles of logo that Karrimor used. There is a catalogue online from 1983 but I can't find much on later date Karrimor. I would also really like to know what the difference is between some of the different model numbers for instance there is a Jaguar S65 and a Jaguar GR65.

I really like the Alpiniste but they seem to be rare now and fetch good money.

And yes, Vinted is lethal.

I assume you know the difference between Karrimor and Karrimor SF?
Yes, I have a Sabre 35 and a Sabre 45. I have looked at the Sabre 60-100 but don't fancy paying the money for one and besides I love vintage stuff, especially when they come at a bargain price.

Not completely bushcraft but I treated myself to a peak design camera strap in green, also a pair of jack Pyke trousers in brown with a Jack pyke windproof/ waterproof smock, all for wildlife photography, I've decided this year is the year I go for it with the cameras and gear.

As I said, Dad used to have a gas stove...not any longer.

Thanks to the actions of a relative with a TV shopping channel addiction he now has a kitchen full of gadgets (and a headache).

He likes cooking on gas so has a cassette type hob.

Cant get gas from Argos (one of the few places he will shop) so sent me off to Go Outdoors, -not sure of the prices so gave me £40 and told me to keep the change.

I have a store card (Highly recommended even though I go there twice a year, at most) and with that the gas was two packs (4 cans) for £12. So I bought him six packs. (and one of those big folding cups)

So, his reaction when I got home was "What do I owe you?)

I've been getting a bit fed up trying to load everything for 2 people (me and my son) for a camping trip into a 45L rucksack and then after seeing Ran Fiennes kit list which comprised of a Karrimor rucksack among other Karrimor kit, I decided to have gander at vintage Karrimor and ended up buying a Jaguar S65 on Vinted for £20 plus postage. I'm really excited for this to arrive.

I then came across this vintage Karrimor Ridge 30-35 which I absolutely do not need but could not say no to for £5. I've now banned myself from looking on Vinted.

If it’s old karrimor kit it’ll be bomb proof!

Is it this type of gas cannister?

They are great bags; I still use my Karrimor Jaguar S65 and it must be getting on for 40 years old!

Yes, at a guess late 80's

Bit later than that. Early 1990's. I had one new in around 1992/1993, from Taunton Leisure in Swansea as I recall, their first shop there when they also had a lot of Jack Wolfskin stuff. Got my(now) husband a Wolfskin fleece there at around the same time, it's still going strong!

[I suspect when we empty the loft and cupboard under the stairs to move in the not too distant future, might even find it, certainly didn't chuck it out].

I've spent hours trying to find out more information on the history of the Karrimor logos, they definitely used the logo with the letter 'I' carrying a backpack during the 80's as there is a Karrimor 88'/89' winter catalogue on ebay with this style of logo. Although they do look slightly different to mine and different colours so maybe mine is early 90's.

I would love to know the age of this one if you have any idea, I haven't been able to find anything to suggest an age for this style of logo..

Jack Pyke galbraith smock and weardale trousers in brown, Hawke 10x50 Nature view bino's, all part of the new wildlife photography kit update.
Next is a hiking bag with front opening, side pockets for flask and tripod, going to put a camera insert in, tried a few photography rucksacks and not happy.
Looking around for a green one that is not too big but big enough for the insert and gear.

A reverse carved Lucite brooch.

(Not that I am much interested in jewellery; but good for my early plastics collection).

At one point I had two, very basic supermarket insulated flasks with lil cups on...and then, imperceptibly, I had one, and goodness knows where the other had gone. I try not to buy brand new things so this was a right hassle. Today, I stumbled across more or less the exact same thing in a junk shop. Fabulous good luck, and now my set is back up to two flasks.

I also picked up a 'keep your food warm' flask for going out to the woods with. It's heavy, but it probably works out fine as an alternative to a whole cooking system.

Just got a 2nd hand hammock ^_^ it takes my weight OK & tested it among some lovely beech trees over the hill. I like the idea of having something I can set up to sit on while adventuring, but I don't like that it's almost as fiddly to sleep in as my hooped bivi. I'm disenchanted by the prospect of adding an under quilt to my kit, but I did manage to figure out sheet bends to suspend a blanket underneath it.

I need to look into how the straps work but I think I'm going to add some rope instead to give me more options for tree distance and placement.

I'm also thinking about, I was actually making a net hammock from a 1970s craft book and you include two wide bit of wood to like, hold the hammock in a rectangular shape so it doesn't banana. I'm wondering if I could add those to my hammock, to make adding a blanket easier

Oh Dear, I got so cold at home and working that I went internet searching for army surplus thermals this weekend. I got seduced by this and that, and ended up buying nearly £130 quids worth of kit;
S/steeel mess tins, distressed lightweight inner sleeping bag/liner/Goretex bivvy, huge compression sackfor that and the Buffalo or Corinthian, 3 sets of strides for work, and last but not least, three full sets of thermals.

Full of guilt, better go out and do some work now to pay for it all.
Oh, and two nice jackets with thermal liners from the charity shops, and grippy woolly mitts from Morrissons.

Not strictly speaking bushcraft related but I know there are some G-Shock fans on here so I'll post it anyway.

Just had my latest G-Shock delivered. The DW-5000 Origin Revival.
Basically a recreation of the first G-Shock with stainless steel case and screw-back.

First impressions are it looks cool as if you like a square as I do. Notably heavier than my other squares though. Time will tell if I like that or not!
