well, the title says it all really. i need to know so that i know how to care for it when i get it. i hope its not carbon steel or something that rusts easily but i suspect it will be carbon steel.

Carbon steel I should think with a hickory handle.

Just don't store it wet and you should get many years service from it.

I cannot tell a lie, this axe was withdrawn, despite having no rust issues.

You may draw your own conclusions for that decision, though I'd imagine that within a very short time period, the balance point will alter, probably due the choice of materials used!

There may be stainless axes out there but all of mine including a bunch of Gransfors are carbon and yes they rust if you put them away wet.

For the money I would hope that they are non-stainless steel. I'd not want to spend that many beer tokens and get an inferior tool! :D

I drove home from a canoe trip to Scotland last year during which I took on a bit of water on the way back to the cars. By the time I'd driven back to Yorkshire the axe was covered in rust and now has some nice patina on it. No harm done though but I've certainly learnt a lesson.

The way some people ejaculate like stallions

you know theres a whole industry out there for that particular skill:lmao:
on a serious note though i love my gransfor axe, doesnt come out that often but is always stored with a wipe of oil on the axe head.

ceggas are apparently better than gransfors aren't they? though i suppose thats no reason to regret getting a gransfors because you cant get a cegga (which seems really stupid only making 10, suppose they arent in it for the money, though how much is a cegga?)

Definitely carbon. Probably won't last more than a 100 years or so, depending on how you treat it. :)

As for the other comments, clean up your act folks. This is a family friendly forum, not the local pub.

Same price as a gransfors, if you want one making PM him. He didnt just make 10 though he did a few batches for this forum.
