Wook - as a Scot,I would have thought you would have sussed the secret of kilts. They can even be made of inexpensive, waterproof material, as there is so much ventilation that condensation should not be a problem. If you must wear trousers, do t use cotton,particularly denim. they get wet and heavy, and are hypothermia waiting to happen.
