Some nice cuts of wood there. :) I think its safe to say it is plum/damson going by all the evidence.

It will make attractive knife scales. Good high janka hardness rating too, not much less than hornbeam. Just store it in a cool, dry place.

If its green wood consider wrapping it loosely in plastic to slow the moisture loss for the first few weeks. You can experiment and take the odd bit indoors just avoid radiators n the like. Its all about controlling moisture loss.

This box full is just the Crown ( quessing name for where the branches started ). I have the whole tree !.
I'm dipping all the ends in p.v.a and then wrapping them in plastic sheeting and keeping it all in my man cave (shed) .
Cheers for everyones help !

yep looks like Plum or Blackthorn, will make awesome scales and will have very nice grain colour with light and darker purples running through the grain, it changes year by year, beautiful wood....

as above dry it slow, if you have time dry it whole and cut it down to size next year if you can wait, it will help allot stop to warping and twisting ruining the scales...:(
