in a lot of cases a dog is your best friend in my own case for instance. when we get them we set ourselves up for the pain of one day losing them. my heart goes out to you....

Sorry to hear about your loss, it's really hard to be left behind by your best friend. I see Mesquite posted the Rainbow Bridge. That still gets me going two years on, so best not to read in a public place. Sounds like he reached a good age which is testament to the love and care you gave him. My thoughts are with you.
