I can smell that photo from my armchair. Good working dogs.
They are....the spring is coming up 13, knows all the drives and plods his way along...almost herding the birds. His mum was brilliant working dog.

The cocker is 8 months, but shaping up well. He is the 5th generation of the blood line I know. I beat with owner if his mum and grandmother, so see them in action mist weeks. One of his sisters is also on the shoot

I realise I'm kind of hogging this thread a bit but this ones almost topical. A couple of days late for Halloween.
This is what we were aiming for...

Kenzo, now nearly five years old and a rescue from Spain when he was about five months old. My girlfriend was visiting her parents in Madrid when she called me and said "Surprise"

And I call this one the "Duane Dibbley" (That is a dog chew, not his teeth)

I want a cat to come and live in the Iron Age with me; have you any idea how difficult it is to find a domestic cat in the Iron Age?

(And forget about ferrets...)
We have two cats as well, theyrethe reason we got a pup instead of a rescue dog.
We wanted the pup to grow up with cats instead of being fully grown and capable of tearing em apart.

This is Peggy, climbing a telegraph pole then jumping off.

Sadly I no longer have a dog of my own, but I have several dozen local doggie friends. I had 3 dog hugs today, one from a dalmatian, one from a lab, and paw prints on my jeans from a little Yorky called Ricki. All the local dogs know me as I usualy have little biscuit bones or treats in my bag.
You need at least one dog hug a day to stay sane!
I'm not a yorky sort of person as a rule, preferring bigger dogs, but little Ricki is always so happy to see me, it melts my big soft dog loving heart. He runs towards me, and loves me picking him up for a proper hug, which the owner is mystified about as he normaly hates being picked up. I get a face wash every time too.:)
I would realy love another dog one day.

Handsome fella
He was, very friendly chap Georgie. He fitted the breed standard to the mm. Both in his physique but in his personality too. He was a gentleman but when roused transformed into a lion, a brilliant home guard and protector of his family. I think of him often. He was a very comical character as well, and an absolute kleptomaniac. He’d run off with anything not nailed down
