They dont want me to hie off during holiday season...this is the only way I can get to the Moot.

Well, we are known for the lanterns so this year we will be running a workshop on running, repairing and restoring tubular lanterns like this.

A tattoo machine would make sense. It was the dotty nature of the lines that confused me.

Well I met Nico (he's Belgian, not Dutch, my apologies to Nico) again this weekend at Spoontown.
I chatted about the box and he confirmed it was all done by hand. Hours and hours of work!
Turns out, Zed did a piece with him recently, link here.
I can't tell kolrosing methods apart, yet, but I wanted to clear his name as it were.

I hope I haven't hijacked your thread Gary but it felt important to me to clear it up now that I've spoken to him. I hope you have a great Moot, sorry I can't be there.

Just a couple of shots from this years Steam Tent Corner at the Moot.

Thoroughly enjoyable event again thanks to Tony, family and the Mods. Thanks too go to all the people that dropped in to see us and enjoy the camp for a while. We enjoy having some company around the fire.

Unpacking to service kit and change parts of the setup for our next camp in a couple of weeks now.

Absolute pleasure Tony.

It's not often we get the chance to see them all lit up.

Do you tow a bowser to fuel them????? I know there are a few candle lanterns but most are paraffin aren’t they?

Between us we got through almost 60 litres of paraffin. Wayland under estimated how much he needed and ended up having to order a delivery to the site

Between the 4 camps there were 153 paraffin lanterns lit on the Saturday and Sunday night.

The break down of the various types of lamps and lanterns between all of us was:
Paraffin - 153
Candle - 8
Naptha - 10
Electric - 24
