i wrote this the over day before the website crashed......


hi all......it's a bad news day....
ok, where to start.as you know dd has been having some trouble with suppliers. with being let down on the l/weight tarps and a bad supply of travel hammocks,which are now being sold as seconds on their website.
the problem is that they don't have enough stock in at the moment.when i started this gb everything was ok and going brilliant but as they say the stuff hit the fan.....right in the middle of this gb....
ok so how do we stand...not good i'm sorry to say. dd have only 5 travel hammcks left and only tarp 1's 2x3 left...they have plenty of camping hammocks and webbing and the travel seconds....
nick says about the seconds is.... the only thing that is wrong with these is the loops on the mosquito netting (a few loose loops on each hammock). The loops can be re-sown in 5 - 10 minutes. Other than that the hammocks are in good condition (everything else is as it should be). We are selling these on our website for £26 and we can offer them for £20 (almost half the normal price, £39)...

back to me......the normal travel hammocks will be £32 plus paypal costs,but remember there is only 5.
the tarp 1's are going to be £16.
webbing £7
the camping hammocks are going to be £18
the travel seconds are £20.
the net hammocks are £11

ok i know alot of you good people are not going to be happy.nick is really sorry for this and even gave us full discount on the above no matter how many do or don't buy.
i'm willing to stop this gb and start again when dd has sorted out the supplier problem..
i'm going to leave it for a few days so you guys can read this and let me know what you think.
anyone buying webbing ,camping ,netting thats all ok still.
as for the 5 travel hammocks the only far thing for me to do is put your names in a hat and get my kids to pull out you names ....not the best way to do it,but it's sort of far

i really am sorry for this.and i know nick from dd feels the same.

hi guys i got an email from dd hammocks yesterday..nick has wrote that anyone who is on this gb will have thier hammocks or tarps at full discout when he gets the supply problem sorted out..he cannot help what has happened but is willing to honer the price for anyone already in the gb.
so if you arn't one out the hat and still was a "proper" travel or l/w tarp and can wait...let me know

hi guys just so you know...you can pay by cheaque or paypal ......paypal charges are 3.4% + 20p...i round it up to 4% because it is a straight number...so on a travel hammock which is £32 the extra cost is about an extra £1.48.so the total is £33.48.
so cheaques cheaper guys...ok

I think I will just withdraw from the GB. I am not sure the l/w tarp will be significantly lighter than the replacement I got (3x3m Tatonka polycotton 1.1kg on my scales) to justify it (unless someone else can clarify the weight difference for me)

The QC issues arise from their suppliers- fair enough, but thanks to Irishlostboy he has found another company that supplies these who allege their products are made by the same suppliers- for a lot less.
