Surplus Softies - can they be dyed?

Hi all,

Just wondering if the British Army softies can be dyed (the green side)? I'm hoping to at least get some mottling with brown dye.

I would think not, as they are not made from cotton (IIRC). Unless you can get dye for plastic materials?

See what the material is, you can get Poly dye

For dyeing nylon you need this stuff..

The material isn't cotton it's nylon/pertex.
