I'm almost certain a while back I saw a thread on BCUK about a type of 'neck wrap' / cooling thing ?

Think it was Australian. You soak it in water, evaporates, etc. Several members realy rated them.

I'm visiting Uganda next January and could put one of these to good use.

Problem is I've tried a few different 'searchs' and can't find the thread ? if it was here I saw it ?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Duncan

It's called a neck cooler. There's a thread here .
I'm a hot bod and find that neck coolers are a very good way of keeping my temperature reasonable in warm weather.

Hope that this is what you're looking for.

Hi Mate
I bought a cobber from Blacks a couple of years ago and I use a lot on hot days and I would not be without it, I sometimes have to take it off as it makes me too cold.
10/10 for it.

If you don't want to buy one you could have a go at making your own.
There are a number of sites that show you how to make them using those water absorbant crystals you use for house plants.
I can't remember the site details but you could just search on 'neck cooler' or variations there of.
