Stick tang Parang converted to full tang

I broke the handle of my Bidor parang last year hacking the branches off a log, the tang was only 2 1/2" long & at 20st I am a fair bit bigger than the average Borneo/Malay tribesman; I contacted Stew (www.StewartJLight-Knives.com) of this forum who made it a full tang by welding on a bar with a v cut in to it to receive the short tang. He then fitted wood grips with denhim micarta spacers. The fact that I am posting indicates how pleased I am with my now supper toy, the process/progress is on his blog & facebook.

The price charged was very reasonable
