i'm no grandmaster but yeah,...i reckon a spot of headtorch lit fireside would be good,..

or am i being a complete techno-klutz and its all played online now,..?.....

I've played some bad chess in my time, in a local league. Won the county championship twice, albeit at the 'exclude all the good players' level. Never played online though, and haven't moved the pieces for about 2 years. I do follow chess online though.

I once had an idea to fashion a Chess Board out of , or rather into the top of a Tree Stump and whittle + brand some pieces and leave in situ to see if anyone that came across it wanted to play.

Never did get round to making it.
