SOG Field Pup

Just received a SOG Field Pup that I purchased off The Church of eBaysia . I wanted a cheapish knife that could swing between bushcraft and hunting use and this seems to be the ticket. I read a few reviews before buying and they all seemed positive. It is Aus 8 stainless and definitely more 'no nonsense' than pretty which is ok because that is what I was after. The factory edge is good and the general feel is solid. The sheath is leather with a kydex edging and is of solid construction but again not all that pretty. Just thought I would share for those maybe seeking similar

That looks a quality knife but my god its ugly. Look at the handle. By the way is the handle plastic or rubber. Blade looks very nice

Is that an older one? I think the newer ones are AUS-8. I'll have to check but I think mine says AUS-8 on the blade.

LOL It is plastic but I have to say that it grips like a ba*tard in the wet - the finger knotches combined with the deep knurl means you are never going to have it slipping out of your grip when you are up to your neck in pluck n entrails

Nope - £31.26 delivered on a 'Buy It Now'
