Forgot to add that it wasn't bird because there is too much skin and flesh missing and too much muscle tissue still present. It would be the other way around for bird.

Any otters by you Red? Or are there too many Mink in the area?

They are in the Witham - but thats several miles away. The mink generally inhabit the dykes and feed on water voles, bank voles and damn nearly anything else that doesn't eat them first.

Nah, frankly, anything that save me having to manage the bunny population is okay in my book right now. The neighbour has increased his electric fence cover. I don't doubt we may need to put some island traps out if they become too prevalent - they are a manageable pest at the moment - its the wretched corvids that will need culling next!
