Recommend me an Axe?

I tend to prefer US axes Plumb, Norwoods, Kelly - all that - for their superior splitting geometry, and also a bit heavier than a hatchet - so 2 - 2 1/2 lbs head

But I have to say I do like that GB small splitting axe - had a swing of one a couple of weeks ago - pretty impressive :) I'd kind of gorn orf GB because they aren't so hot at splitting

Splitting axe is a cracker. The only thing I could say about it was job done. Every time. No issues. Lol.

Ive got an unbranded axe which has a fat profile, put it on a 19" handle and it's brilliant.

All the best.

So I've now finished re-making my axe. I bought a cheap 14" handle off Amazon, it is much thinner than I thought. I ended up making a rather thick wedge for the width space and using two old hammer wedges for length adjustment.
