The speeds are upto the quoted speed, depending on your coverage. They should also be able to give you a rough estimate using their coverage checker either online or over the phone

Thanks, the coverage checkers say little or no connection, but looking at the coverage maps and the transmitter locations I know if I can get high enough I can get a good speed.

On that note, today I attached the antenna to a long pole pruner and got it about a meter above the roof and that increased the speed by about 1Mbps.

Looking at other 4g routers some have 'dual band' which claim to double the speed. Anyone know if that actually happens or is it possible one band will be much better than the other or if we may not notice any improvement?
