Thanks for the link, although I may still be able to source from the US at better rates.
Having pointed out that freight shipping for small numbers was excessive, they've come back with a much more economic rate for small parcels through the US Postal Service !!
So I'm now awaiting a confirmation of the total cost & need to confirm what the onward UK distribution will cost (I'm sure that will be much simpler).
So please bear with me and I hope to confirm rates asap.

Don't worry, as yet I haven't confirmed prices and the list is just for those interested.
Once I confirm the cost I will be asking everyone to commit to what they want & send over the monies so I can get them ordered.

Right I have finally managed to get a deal done with the supplier, although they have placed a caviat on the quoted price that it lasts just 1 week as shipping costs may vary ?!
I have struck a deal that will get the mini containers delivered into the UK for £1.16 each (including for shipping & banking charges). These will be shipped in batches of 17 which I hope will result in the package cost being below the threshold for VAT & import duties.
This will involve them being air-mailed, they should be delivered in 2 - 4 weeks, I can arrange for surface delivery but this would take 2 - 3 months.
I will then arrange to get them sent on to you which I believe will cost £1.45 per delivery.
So the costs for the average request for 5 items would be:
5 @ £1.16 = 5.80 + 1.45 (p+p)
ie £7.25
Whilst I have used Paypal for making payments I am unaware as to how to calculate the charges - if someone can advise then i would prefer to take payment in that way (for speed), but obviously I will need to raise the price to cover the charges.
If this is acceptable please add your name to the new list & PM me to arrange payment & let me know your address. I need you to specify how many & which colour.

As I understand it, provided you have a personal account and are payed by other PayPal accounts with enough credit then there are no fees to accept payment. If, the payee has an empty account and PayPal need to take funds from the linked bank account to cover the transaction then there IS a fee (3.4% plus £0.20 - for your quoted figure that would be £7.70 by my calculations (maybe wrong).
The best thing for folk wishing to pay via PayPal would be to pay in enough to cover the transaction (Paying in is free), and allow 7-9 days for those funds to clear (or just check account).
However, I'm no expert - in many cases people simply charge the extra (and for the sake of 45p it might be worth doing just to cover yourself).
