Well things are progressing, albeit if sometimes a little frustratingly.

Considerng we now have amassed interest in the order of 200 units, the supplier is not willing to offer any further discount than that available for a 'bulk buy' of 5 !!!

Having chased them they have also returned with shipping costs which may make these items costly whether I get a bulk shipment & distribute, or if we have multiple smaller bulk deliveries, or even if you buy small quantities yourselves.

Considering I recently had a F1 shipped over - it was a fraction of the cost of a few MINI aluminium containers (apparently based on weight) ?!*

I have queried the shipping rates and will post all the prices once confirmed - I will fully understand if the list suddenly evaporates or people drastically reduce their orders.

If anyone is aware of similar alternative units (I've heard that BB have done similar group buys previously) and has supplier details, I'd be happy to investigate that instead should prices become prohibitive.

Thanks for bearing with me & sorry if I'd got your hopes up - I hope no-one was desperate to acquire these too soon.

Yep,
better to pull out than to create a lot of work for yourself where noone really benefits.

The shipping and Paypal costs will be the clincher. If there is no further discount after 5+, anyone ordering that many should just go direct and only pay shipping once with no Paypal fee. It might still be worthwhile for those who only want less than 5, but only if the shipping from USA is very reasonable.

We'll see how it pans out!

I did a bit of a web search and found a company in the UK who sell what looks like a very similar product (possibly the same item?) as a pill box. Their website only shows gold and pink colours although they do state that "other colours are available".

This would avoid the import duty and shipping issues.

Maybe worth contacting them?
