Just out of curiosity, how often are these camps arranged around the Manchester area? I've several friends (no really) who would love to come on this camp but have other plans that weekend, when is the next one likely to be, Nov, Dec or 2013?

Well the GMBG organize at least one camp a month or least have done for the last 12 lol

We are looking at dates already for next years Camps and hope to have a list of all the camps planned including dates out to all you guys by January

hello just reading the beggining of this thread and noticed it says we are using the middle section of the site is this where the main fire pit is or is it somewhere different and if so can someone tell me where so we no where to go on friday if we turn up early cheers the crowman.

I spoke to jill (the wardens wife) she said there is a scout group booked at the very far end of the site thoses who the site will know it as the ghost field. And there is a youth group in the lodge on the carpark. So we are ok around the main firepit as normal.

I think its only considerate that we tell the scouts about the ghost field, I mean its not fair for them to camp there unwittingly.... hehehe

No Dutch Ovens means no apple crumble...I'll make a stew or something instead.
