Right - have just spoken with the camp site and confirmed our booking!

The LARPer's are no longer coming, BUT we now have a biker convention taking place instead!

We have our usual area at the top half of the camp site, around the camp fire circle. They have been asked to stay on the bottom half of the site.

See you all there!

OK, been having a sort out and can bring the following things, free to anyone who can use them:

Two lengths of old 11mm climbing rope ( about 15 and 25 metres ) NOT suitable for climbing any more but millions of other uses

One 45m old ( as above) 9mm rope

Two aluminium arrow shafts- brand new- good for cutting into blow pokers

A few old (melamine ?) picnic plates.

If any of it is the slightest use- let me know and I will bring it. Otherwise its the bin.

Hi Simon
Just been on the Worsley Hall Garden Centre Website to see if they stock bags of logs etc., for last minute pickup on way to camp site.
Unfortunately they closed just before Christmas 2008.
Just a warning in case other 'crafters are thinking of doing the same.
See you Friday
John

One shaft is yours Barney !
As for what I want for it-nothing.
I am happy just to give the stuff away -it is of no use to me, and will just gather just in my storeroom. Anyone who feels that they ought to give me something for it can if they wish, by no means a condition though.

Regarding wood I have a quantity of solid chunks of pallet corner wood which are too big for my solid fuel stove. They have a thin layer of old blue paint which gives a charming green falme for a second or two and then is gone. Shall I bring them or are people put off by the ( minimal ) paint ?
